I'm sure May will pop over to sell them some more weapons. After all, business is business.

And I am sure they will be allowed to continuebuilding and funding mosques all over the world, preaching their particular 'Wahabi' Islam.

Too late. They and other "corrupt" states in the Middle East are well entrenched into the UK in terms of investment, ownership of assets, access to Ministers, etc. It's their way of making sure that once we ditch oil they still have a way to get money out of us.Our country and particularly our current Government are beholden to this. So sad. Makes the idea of taking back control a bit farcical in my eyes.

Odd I read this with the EU substituted in a lot of places and it still works.

nabby Publish time 26-11-2019 01:38:09

It works, except for the part where the EU is allegedly (but more than likely) murdering and butchering journalists whilst buying up assets in foreign countries as leverage to hush them up. data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

Fingers crossed for the next time Nigel pops in to the German embassy to try for duel citizenship again.

I'm confused, doesn't the EU cost the UK money, whereas the Middle East turns a good profit in weapon sales?

Sonic67 Publish time 26-11-2019 01:38:11

The Middle East holds a huge amount of the world's oil. Something our economy relies on. Middle Eastern countries don't take migrants like we do. A lot end up here. And if we wasn't selling weapons you can bet France would. They fought tooth and nail over cancelling the assault ships they were selling to Russia after Russia invaded the Ukraine.

I'm confused as to how someone would want independence from the UK but then be tied into the EU. We've only been with the EU mere decades and look at how complicated leaving is. Imagine much longer. And you might find those promising how easy it will be might not be telling the truth.
