Just a reminder of the big elections in Europe coming up.

4 Dec. 2016: Italian referendum-P.M. Matteo Renzi, threatening to resign if he loses.
4 Dec. 2016: Rerun of the Austrian presidential election. Far right party expected to do well.

15 March 2017: Dutch general election
Geert Wilders, far right, is just ahead in the polls, but result very uncertain.

4 May 2017: British local elections.
A few Libdem gains in Remain areas, but watch the increase in Tory support. Expect Labour to perform badly and possible UKIP gains.
This will be an indicator on Brexit support and the next General election

7 May: French presidential election
Francois Fillon who is a respectable right conservative leader with e Thatcherite ideas is expected to win.... But Marine Le Pen, far right group might surprise everyone if they win. The Socialists and Mr Vall not expected to do well.

22 October 2017: German elections
Could be held as early as 27 August. Angela Merkel looks likely to standagain
The far right are polling in sufficient numbers to secure seats. They oppose subsidies to the defaulting southern Mediterranean countries and immigration.

These six elections are set to change Europe forever
