Drug supply councillor 'must resign'
Ishmael Osamor - son of Shadow International Development Secretary Kate Osamor - pleaded guilty to having £2,500-worth of drugs at last year's Bestival event in Dorset.
Osamor was caught trying to take ecstasy, cocaine, ketamine and cannabis into the festival in August 2017 - nine months before he was elected as a councillor.
Kate Osamor: MP resigns amid row over son's drug conviction
Osamor had apparently previously claimed she knew nothing about Ishmael’s legal case until after the sentencing. It has since been reported that she must have been aware of the case before this because she had written to the trial judge asking for leniency.
Meanwhile, the National Union of Journalists condemned Osamor following allegations she threatened a reporter with a bat and threw a bucket of water at him.
Osamor told a reporter from the Times she should “smash his face in”, according to the newspaper.
She also reportedly told the reporter to “fudge off” and called police after accusing him of stalking. The journalist was attempting to speak to Osamor about the claims surrounding her son’s drug conviction.

Interesting character:
Shamed Corbyn ally Kate Osamor banned from Wikipedia after she kept editing her own profile
She attempted to remove references to a story about claims she plagiarised Barack Obama’s acceptance speech.
And she then threatened to sue the organisation if the references returned.
Like your celebs on trial GC thread, how about a single Politicians Behaving Badly thread? Would probably be quite active. Prominent politicians' serious troubles and major scandals of course deserve their own threads. Awkward.

Here's Angela "no qualifications/shadow education secretary" Rayner doing the same thing:
Labour MP uses Commons notepaper to criticise shoe shop for failing to reserve novelty Star Wars shoes If you changed the first two words of that letter to 'Getting caught' it would be so much more honest. Shouldnt that say 'Former Shadow secretary of State'? Not at the time of writing ...
