1400 cases child abuse -Rotherham
'Horrific' Cases Of Child Abuse in RotherhamQuite horrific. And why wasn't it stopped? Because.....
"Almost all" the perpetrators were described by victims as being of Pakinstani origin, but the authorities "wanted to play down ethnic dimensions... for fear of being thought racist."...
Are we seeing a turn in the tide now that these 'ethnic sensitive' issues are at last being uncovered? It was on R5 earlier. The question was asked about who would go to jail for failing these kids? Rotherham was the same council that removed children from foster carers as they were members of UKIP.
BBC News - Rotherham Council apologises over UKIP foster row Saw this on the lunchtime news.
Nasty and horrific stuff was going on - need more details, so see how this unfolds and what can be done. Jail?No one has even been sacked (yet)
BBC News - Rotherham child exploitation report
And 3 years from now, those who are sacked will no doubt be getting their unfair dismissal payouts... Rather than going on a witch Hunt for people to sack, the police need to hunt the perpetrators of the crimes.
I find it quite shocking that the police ignored potential crimes as they were scared of stoking race riots.Quite shocking really. I'm about 38 pages into the report and it's starting to get tough to read. But I shall keep going.
All I can say is that this is just another example of why we need a public inquiry into child sex abuse, no matter where it leads. My own feeling is that what Cyril Smith did in Rochdale's local politics to facilitate child sex abuse probably went on across the country by different perpetrators.
What the Police need to do is try and convict those who carried out the abuse and for those in the local authorities who failed children, to face the music where appropriate. One victim of abuse in Rotherham went on to abuse other children, social services etc deemed the victim/abuser did not meet the threshold for support from social services etc. As said hopefully the wheel has turned, the penny dropped, we can not allow people to be treated differently due to their race or the foreseen social issues that enforcing the law would cause.
Multiculturalism is an odd beast, we have a highly developed democracy that views all people as equal regardless of gender, race or religion with a strong sense of legal institutions.
Yet we have had a policy importing people from countries/cultures with the most undeveloped sense of these most cherished components of modern British social enlightenment, and let them continue their lives as if they were still in their home country/culture.
We went even further in demonizing anything that is indigenous in preference for that which was 'foreign' with anyone with concerns having discussions shut down with the simple and possibly the most powerful word of the 90/00's "Racist".
What is our prize for our selfish inclusive? many of these things that have been allowed to happen are vastly inferior cultural artefacts:FGM, forced marriage, acid attacks, voodoo killings and limb/organ harvesting, 'honour' killings, gang rapes, organised child grooming/abuses (often because white women are not really worth anything ...), the list of crap that no one in Britain would imagine, never mind condone (although obviously some are) even a decade or two ago is all coming out.
This is without considering rigging of elections (postal votes, what a scam), inter family marriages with masses of children born with congenital diseases , no go areas due to a lack of racial or religious tolerance...
The UK isn't and wasn't sweetness and light, but in comparison punks and teddy boys, football hooliganism and Friday night drunken brawls or even continuing endemic domestic violence simply don't compare to these most repugnant of imports*.Start stripping passports and making people stateless if necessary, it may be a more effective punishment than a few months/years in jail (where people come out radicalised and an even greater threat to the whole of society).
Integration is necessary, not rampant ghettoisation and a soft touch because it might offend a minority group/spark a riot.Britain needs to take its values back, and become colour/religious blind in all matters.
*Child abuse is not included here as obvious that is both the op, and in addition to the latter point on the list, as repugnant as any of the imported nasties. The only slight exception is the level of organisation, the numbers of people involved within child abuse/trafficing organisations and the blatant openness they seem to do it, even Savile didn't have the brass neck to join up with a group, ply and drug girls/boys and ship them around the country as 'favours'. Yes and no.
People have been arrested and imprisoned already. No doubt more will be too.
But officials need to be held fully accountable too.And if some of them actually colluded in the crimes, hopefully that will be found out too.
I am with the local UKIP MEP on this one Individuals within a council are be disciplined for causing an offence under the data protection act. Surely this is worse.
