Help with book title

Can anyone help with tracking down a book title....I'm sure it begins "Dear xxxx" with the x's being a child name. It was a fathers book about a daughter tragic death (I believe on a train track but I coud be wrong). The book was written from a perspective as if the child was still alive and the father was talking to his daughter.
