WHSmiths Book Sale
I was in the store this morning and the had a lot of books on sale at vastly reduced prices also these books were also on offer 2 for £10. I picked up a guide on The Avenger (Marvel) from £17.99 to £7.99 and a History of Britain £20 to £9.99 bought both and got them for £10 a saving of £27.00//static.avforums.com/styles/avf/smilies/clap.gifPS Ill mention it here The Works have Bond on Bond bu Sir Roger £9.99 down from £25 I read your post with intrigue !
Its a standing joke in our house how expensive WHSmiths are.......we had one of the £15 for £10 vouchers they have begun to dole out....me and the OH went in and even when applying the voucher we could still buy cheaper online.We have noticed a pattern.....money off coupons = no other instore deals....no money off coupons = paltry discounts offered
Maybe you got lucky, but I dont think I have ever got a good deal in WHSmiths - I really cant see how they survive......I predict a Comet style demise in the next 18 months........Terribly slow book ordering service too - was given some vouchers a while back and it took them an age to get the books in.
Well done if you got lucky, but I reckon its a rarity....personally i would rather have consistant discounts.....not all this silly pricing/coupons/weekly shenanigans.
