Reccomend childrens books on kindle
HiGoing on holiday soon, would like to put a few books on to the kindle for the kids. Any recommendations would be most welcome,
Have a 7 yr old daughter who reads confidently but scares very easily and a 5 yr old son who reads very well but prefers to read together. Have famous 5 and rainbow fairies in paperback so looking for some new inspiration
Thanks The Velveteen Rabbit?
The Velveteen Rabbit by Margery Williams Bianco - Project Gutenberg
Probably a good idea to read through first if your daughter scares easily but a lovely story. I was lucky enough to get Winnie the Pooh for nowt on the Kindle, legally I might add! It's well worth nabbing, and the pictures are even good on the Kindle itself (colour on a tablet) Thanks, will look into these Any of the Mr Gum series.
My lad loves these. I check this site all the time for free stuff for me and the kids....

OK, the most recent stuff isn't free and there is some utter dross, but we have all picked up some cracking free books on there......updated hourly. Thank you, I was looking children books on Kindle also. Hi, Try her on the Rainbow Magic series by Daisy Meadows, and if she likes mysteries you could try the Nancy Drew "Clue Crew" series, which is the series set at that reading level. For your 7 year old I would recommend "Maggie Moore and The Secret School Diary' by Firna Rex Shaw.It says it is for 8 - 12 year old but it is fine for younger readers. It is in a diary format and has loads of pictures too.
Mr Mejeika books are good too.About a wizard teacher.I think they are by Humfry Carpenter.(sp?)
My daughter read it and absolutely loved it. I recommend The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein!
