Do you know how many they had in the store, I'm in London today but stuck over in the Westfield Mall and wonder if it's worth a dash over.

Ring them mate, I think so - I only briefly looked at mine (picked up about 530pm), and I think mine was numbered in the low 200's - the girl has them in the drawer at the counter.

Guys,

I've been away from the Walking Dead GN's for a while now...last book I got was number 6 I think but have been considering getting back in again but since I've thoroughly forgotten what went before I'm trying to decide if I should just get the Compendiums & sell on the single GN's I have or go the whole hog & begin my trip to bankruptcy by buying the HC omnibus books instead?

Does anyone collect the Omnibus books?
Are they worth the investment...I will be reading them...they won't be just there to look pretty in the bookcase (if I ever get one that is)

Ta

Neil

I get the trades, simply because I can then get the latest one after 6 issues. If you are getting the compendiums, they are 6? GN worth wrapped up in one folder.

The Hardbacks are probably better to collect, they contain 2 GN worth (so book 8 out now is GN 15 and 16) so a nice looking collection, not that far behind the GNs.

I get single issues and the over sized omnibus versions which collect 25 issues in each. Number one has a 2nd print now so doesn't cost the earth anymore.

This series is one I cannot believe I came to so late in the day , I only started at about issue 40 but I can remember reading 1 to 40 all night digitally. The single issue prices on eBay are mad these days IMO, hopefully once the tv Mania dies down the prices might drop also. Some of the prices for the weekly reprints are even crazier.

Just been offered £85 on eBay for my copy of #19 (first appearance of Michonne) which I purchased last year for £10. Have seen them going for over £100recently.

Wonder how much my CGC 9.6 copy of #1 would go for, a 9.4 graded copy recently sold for £874

i was speaking to my friend in travelling man and he sold a number one same grad for just under a grand cash to a customer. Not a bad profit if you bought it at cover price on release day.

I was reading 103 on a packed train yesterday when a lovely young lady asked me about it and it turned out she was a comic fan but hadn't read 100 yet. We had a nice two hour chat about comics/filmsand her uni course but upon leaving the station i only got her name no details. Maybe she was just being nice to an old guy !

I've been after one of these for a while don't know what it will end at but I'm too skint this week.
