You could try Battle Royale, The Running Man or Lord of the Flies and before anything is said, I do NOT think The Hunger Games is a rip-off of Battle Royale but they share some similarities. Lord of the Flies is classic and pretty much a must if you haven't already. Ender's Game is so good, I can't wait to see the movie!

Thanks.
I read lord of the flies at school, but that was a loooong time ago! data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7
I've been meaning to read battle royale too! Good suggestions.

If you're reading The Running Man, also have a look at The Long Walk, both by Richard Bachman/Stephen King. TLW is superb.

I remember the running man film. Will check the book out and the other one. Thanks.

The series by Trudi Canavan are quite a good read.

Yes TLW would have been my call to, even though it a short story it carries a lot of weight with it.

1 to this. I've read them and they are very good. They do fall into the trap of becoming frustrating at times especially towards the end of the series but, they are an excellent read. A cross between Lord of the Flies, The Hunger Games and The Dome.

The Running Man is an amazing story and nothing like the dire film. In fact I don't know why they didn't follow the book as it would have been a stellar film.

The Long Walk is one of my favourite stories of all time. data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

I'm on the 5th Gone book now. Enjoying them but they can be a little slow at times.
