At what part are you? It starts with the barbarian type character Logan Nine Fingers, and flicks between a swordsman as well and then Glokta (my fave)..
Essentially its a group of characters eventually coming together to fulfill a quest - I am being as vague as possible, as I dont want to spoil anything, but it is very good.
Where are you - detail as much as you want as long as you add spolier tags.

He is torturing someone from a big merchant guild and got called in to see his superior. The swordsman is training for a fencing compo and he's good at gambling
