I've never had an issue driving in the USA, on roads at least. Being on the other side of the car seems to help keep me in check as does all the lights, signage, road markings and traffic flow. I have caught myself on the wrong side in car parks a few times and forever going to the right hand side to get in. I always get an auto too, though it's probably difficult to get a manual rental in the US? I won't talk about the first and only time I tried left foot braking, having only ever driven manual cars, and muscle memory thinking I was dropping the clutch... Thankfully nobody was behind me! I make sure my left foot is flat on the floor and goes nowhere now. Never driven on the Continent. Seems nuts so I stick to public transport.

Last time we were in Florida I was driving a Camaro out of the rental car park at night, in a fairly typical but heavy August thunder storm, and some poor guy had run what I assume was a rental clean into a palm tree. Certainly kept my wits about me after seeing that. Can't have been in the car 5 minutes!

Just waiting for our flight back from florida. Also seem to drift to the right despite driving in the USA numerous times. Did visit Miami this year for the first time. Not a place I'd recommend for anyone driving in the USA for the first time data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7 Did mine and the satnav's heads in! Never seen so many lanes on one road!
