The worse long haul we ever had was with Virgin. Not even a TV screen. TBF it had no livery so something must have gone wrong with the schedule and a taxi was called or something? We expected better.

Flew outbound and inbound with them this month just fine. I’ll certainly try and book an exit row seat next time for more room.

TC AND VS are 2 different products. You're not comparing like for like

We have just flown out with TC, I think it was an A300. Selected economy plus seats at £25. Decent leg room. Food and service was ok. I have booked exit row seats for the 9.5 hr return. They are £65.

Wonder how selling most of their fleet to a Chinese business will affect TC? I’ve never had an issue flying with TC and have fond memories of going into the local branch as a youth and get my travellers cheques (remember those), before my lads holidays

Row 19 (IIRC) on the A300 was the regular price row that gives you 6ft of legroom by the window. Doesn’t cost any more and suited me fine as it’s the row behind the emergency exit row.

A very good company and one that has been trading for an eternity. However when we are buying a package holiday they appear to offer higher prices than their competitors Jet2 and TUI on like for like deals. I have no preference for any company and if it's the same holiday then the lowest priced will always secure my business with not a shred of loyalty afforded.

Looking VERY bleak for Thomas Cook again.

The news just said it could affect 180,000 holiday makers who may need re-patriating if the company goes bust.

Good return flight. Row 9 excellent seats. Different plane, the one out had basement toilets, homebound on the passenger level.
Had to evict some dickwit who decided to upgrade himself and then had the audacity to complain to the cabin staff. Complete with screen prints of the plane layout //static.avforums.com/styles/avf/smilies/facepalm.gif

Yeh a huge logistical exercise to bring everyone back if the company goes under this weekend.

£600 Million data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7 according to the Beeb.

My mate is due to fly out to Goa with them in Jan.

Doesn't look good.Think they could well end up disappearing.

Bad news for the thousands of TC staff but the flip side is TC competitors (for which there are so many competing) get a boost.
