100% sure, from the horses mouth:

Income Tax: limitation of salary sacrifice

Thank you Markee! That is very useful to me as I am a current company car driver. My lease is already up (4 years last Feb) but our company is keeping on leases for the time being as a cost saving exercise.
So, I can have a £475 a month allowance which after tax/NI is about £275 - around £200 deductions. That means I would pay 200 quid a month even if I opted for a low BIK car?

Yep, you should consider the £200 a month as a minimum you'd pay in BIK tax, unless you get a car with less than 75g/km (hybrid / electric) which is exempt from this rule. 90% of new company cars registered this year at the company I work for are hybrids.

Whats the situation with the Golf GTE, is it going to be available again?

Looks like the only other hybrid in the £30k-£35K is the Lexus IS? Or possibly the Toyota Camry?
