Audi A4 owners help?
Just got an Audi A4 cabriolet and its got the audi nav plus screen built in. Ive managed to connect my iphone to the bluetooth for calls but cant seem to play media through it. Any ideas? What plate is it? It could be a proper factory fit feature or not.Mine is not officially supported but it's been enabled....I have to select CD 12 as source and that gives me the audio over Bluetooth.
If it's factory fit, you typically have to choose your source as 'Bluetooth' on your mmi Panel.
Hope that helps!
Ta Its an 07 plate, see mine only goes to CD 7? Its confusing the life out of me lol But I'm guessing you have only a 6 CD changer ??
In which case select cd7 and play audio via your phone.
That should work Thanks but just tried that and it just says no cd inserted, on all inputs its the same, its weird because calls work fine so it is connected. When you pair your Bluetooth what is the name of the Bluetooth in the car??
Is yours an iPhone? Seem to remember the earlier ones didn't support a2dp which is whats needed for music streaming.
Also...What version of MMI do you have ?
You never confirmed if its just a 6 CD changer??

I use an iphone 7 and no idea which version mmi it is, i think i have a 7 cd changer This generation is far to old to stream content from a phone ( its just for calls ) but what you can do is insert 2 x2gb ( And no larger ) Sd cards into the slots behind the screen with MP3 files on and it will play these very well , note the music has to be proper MP3 and not any apple format . Thanks for clearing that up for me, i might just upgrade the system as i want to use spotify really, cant even find an aux port either. You can turn on streaming in some depending on MMI. I have a Q7 dating to 2006 and that has it enabled using the CD12 hack I wrote about above.
I'd suggest a look at the Audi forums (Audi Sport is a good one)
Cheers
