Did Abingdon with some newbie friends a few weeks ago.

Mine is the Black S2000 overtaking at the start. Video taken from another S2000 (driver's first trackday). It shows how much extra performance tuition and practice gives you.

Off to Brands Hatch GP on June 19th if anyone fancies popping along...

I'd love to...you can give me some lessons!

I've got a set of R888s and Michelin Supersports to ruin....data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

Not sure if it qualifies, but my OH bought me 5 laps of Silverstone in a Ferrari 360 for Christmas. Just got it booked for a weekend in early July and I can't wait: I've never even sat in a Ferrari let alone driven one. I get a few practice laps in something more mundane first, but I think I need to borrow my son's XBox and have some practice learning the track. data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

Haven't heard yet, but a friend of mine sometimes goes to Anglesey with the VX220 owners club in the summer and he lets me share the laps in his car. Lack of practice/experience does tend to make me a 'mobile chicane' unfortunately. data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

Sounds great(inc the car!).

My son got a trackday gift from his girlfriend for an Aston Martin a coupld of years ago and loved it.

Plus, the bonus of it not being your car you thrash!

Seeing as I know sweet FA about 4WD, I'm not sure that's a good idea data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

You can book with Bookatrack, but be aware, it's very expensive!

There is an evening session on the Indy Circuit there that day, which is a lot cheaper.

Another mostly successful day yesterday, what a circuit! Technically a real challenge but I sort of got there in the end.

One badly cracked brake disc though...

Just got back from my Ferrari experience at Silverstone. It was fantastic. data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7 Did 5 laps in a Clio RS first to get used to the track, then 4 in the Ferrari. They were out of F360s so I got to go in one of their newer F430s instead. data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

I'm sure I wasn't anywhere near the fastest out their today, but thoroughly enjoyed it. I hit about 7,500 rpm in 5th on the Hangar straight which is the best part of 140 mph (a personal record). The hot lap at the end was done in the Clio RS when you get shown how fast you really can go. data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

Have to say it was the best Christmas present I've had. data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

Sounds like a great experience, I must get round to organising this myself one day.

I bet the clio's were great fun also.
