New battery

Hi all,

I need a new battery for the wife's Audi tt as it failed a battery test when it went for a service today and probably explains why both key fobs have stopped working.

They managed to recode the keys and all works fine but still think the battery needs changing as its coming upto 8 years old.

I've added a photo of the battery currently in the car and it would seem tanya batteries would suggest the below,

027 Enduroline Car Battery 60Ah - Enduroline Car Batteries

Does anyone know if this is correct or if I should be getting the same brand?

That look too low a capacity. Both Halfords & Euro Car Parts have reg no. checkers.

The Tayna is this one.

I thought it didn't seem right either hence why I thought I'd ask.

Eurocarparts listed a lion one which was suggested off the reg plate and was 125 but come to 69 with the discount code available.

That looks more like it. If you intend keeping the car beyond the 3 year guarantee of the Lion I might be tempted to spend the extra on the Bosch S4 for another £30 or so.

Halfords will also fit a battery for you, and you may need to plug into the ODB port to let the car know the battery has been changed when you change it.

Don't rely on the reg checkers though these are not always right.

Why didn’t the garage that did the service just fit a decent battery for you?

I recently bough a S4 at Europarts, very good price.

They were closing for Xmas at 1 and said it didn't need doing right away but something to consider if the car started struggling to start etc
