The return of the Toyota Supra?

I have been hearing reports, can anyone confirm?

Nothing official yet although there wil be a replacement of the celica, Supra and MR2 all rolled into one new model. As and when, who knows?

There has been quite a few rumours about this since the last of the Mark IV's rolled off the production line.

If you look around thee net... there are loads of different concept drawings / models.. but there doesn't seem to be any definite answer to when it will be unveiled / availible, how much it'll cost, what engine it'll have, whether it'll be a "HYBRID" or even what it'll look like... some of the designs i really like but some are awful.

The only thing that seems to be consistent is that it'll be a Lexus... doubt it'll even be called a supra anymore.

Im sure Ive seen a concept of it that was going to make production in some form in 2008? It looked like a beefed up Celica in Jap racing colours (White)? it was a in hard top & spider form(convertable)

I'll be trading in my Celica as soon as it gets released, if the concept design are anything to go by! data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

What's the betting that it's gonna run a £50,000-£60,000 price tag... after all it will be a lexus and a powerful one too... it'll more than likely be priced to compete with the new Skyline or GTR as they're calling it.... and i'm sure that'll be around that price.

My GF bought the BMW version but i must say i think the Toyota version looks better.

mikeysthoughts Publish time 24-11-2019 22:49:45

Agreed. And it's a touch quicker, too.

Both have that modern BMW failing which is a lack of feel and feedback through the wheel. It detracts from the excitement IMHO.
