Number of owners never bothers me particularly if its at the premium end of the car range where depreciation is very high, people buy them then use it for a few months to a year which results in them taking a much smaller hit on the depreciation and they get to show off a new car every time they change.
Much more important to me when buying a car is the service history and general condition.
Not sure about. Premium cars usually have high maintenance costs and when that first big bill comes in, most people move the car on.

A 4yr old Corsa with 42k miles and 3 owners, id be looking else where for £6k.
The market is on its arse at the moment. I just negotiated a deal for a friend on a 500 Abarth (3yrs old 18,000 miles) with a p/x. I got £1750 above book price for the p/x,, 3yrs of MOT's and a free service from a CarShop supermarket.
Look around for another car, you seem unsure and it will bug you if you buy it.
I'd agree, well to an extent. 6k is a healthy budget for a good reliable car. Vauxhall, fiat, Renault and the likes don't make those. Take your 6k, steer away from main dealers and get something properly reliable and maybe even have some change.
To me it depends on who the owners were. But for such a common car gut feel is stay clear and get a better example with no so many previous owners.
Exactly if you MUST have a vauxhall you need to be 100% sure on it, you'll have enough to worry about. They're so plentiful you can afford to be fussy.
