21 days too long

This movie started out okay enough. I knew it was a low budget movie, but there's low budget and then there's The Asylum films low budget. The premise was pretty promising. 3 would be film makers stay 21 days at a supposed haunted house where no occupant before them has stayed longer then 20. That's a decent enough premise for me. As for the found footage theme, well if you're going to complain about that then don't watch. Either you tolerate this is a genre of movie or not.

Spoiler ahead. I knew this movies wasn't going to be anything amazing by the 4:30 mark and here's why. The 3 documenters drive up to the house to speak to the last occupants who lived in the haunted farm house. Jacob Anderson, the leader of the group walks up to the house of Lisa Thompson and starts aggressively asking her why she left the house so abruptly. She of course reacts angerly to the questioning and goes inside her current home. Jacobs reply to her anger is, "what the heck was that?" As if her reaction was somehow over the top. They get in the car and proceed to question why is she acting the way she is and they should leave because she won't talk to them. Let's not forget in the previous scene we were just told no one who has lived in the house has ever talked about said house and what happened to them out of fear they will die. Somehow though, they film makers are astonished some stranger won't talk to them. What? How does this even make any sense? There's proper ways the scene should have played out. One, either they try to talk to Lisa in a respectful and nice way. Something that should be common sense. That or the reaction of the other 2 lead characters should have been one of frustration for how Jacob acted towards someone they are trying to interview. Instead it's a reaction of "What happen?" "Omg, that woman is crazy!" That's how you know the writing isn't any good when the reactions are not even right. It's as if the person writing the film has no fundamental idea of how people should reaction in a situation. Except for act scared when scary stuff happens.

From there on the film becomes a Paranormal Activity knockoff and that's about it. Overall, I didn't mind watching it, but that's probably because I was bored and free. If you paid money for this, well you just made a mistake.
