Well-made adaptation of the novel.
May Contain Spoilers! If you haven't read the book or seen this movie, please read carefully!!This is close to being a direct translation from the novel into the film. Aside from a few changes from the book--Marinville using a handgun instead of a hammer to ignite the shotgun-shell near the end, for one--but other than that, a very faithful production. Steve King's work is often changed dramatically from print to movie (see Dreamcatcher as an example, much better as a book), so I was surprised to see how well it followed the novel.
Some of the scenes have been switched around or skipped, mostly to avoid material not suitable for television
Surprisingly, though, most of the dialogue is word-for-word from the novel.
All in all, a great adaptation of a great novel.
