Welcome to the United States of America!
I believe their combined estimated total is more than 60. Much higher in fact. The "official" numbers are merely when law enforcement gave up and decided it was enough for convictions, saving PD budget $, avoiding "unnecessary" local tourism bad image etc. - this is and always has been the case in pretty much every city around America.. but especially in Texas and California, where serial killers are abundant and have thoroughly thrived for some 50-60 years. Many of which have never been caught and most of the worst we never hear about. The FBI estimates there are between 300-400 active serial killers at any given point in time in the USA. A murder every 30 minutes (18-20,000 murders per year avg., with 40,000attempted and even more pleaded out in court). A sexual assault every 45 mins. On and on it goes. This docu series is pointless in that it does absolutely nothing for anyone but those behind it cashing the checks and pocketing the money profiting from the pain and suffering of others.. especially the innocent children and immediate family members. Put your resources towards ACTIVE unsolved cases and for once try doing some good for our society instead chasing a buck at any and all costs. Seriously pathetic.
