Yeah, I Must Be A Glutton For Punishment.
You know, in the past 30 years or so, no genre of films has held more interest to me than horror. Given that I was brought up in an abusive family, and was bullied throughout my adolescence, you'd think I'd shy away from violent imagery. I guess this is what they refer to as the Stockholm Syndrome? If it is, then yeah, I'm guilty of it.I knew going into Pumpkinhead II what I was expecting - a quick cash production off a so-so title. Hell, if Mimic can do it, and Species can do it, and Wishmater can do it, and Hellraiser can do it, then why not Pumpkinhead? Will Hollywood EVER make a sequel that's better than the original? I think I can count on one hand how many times that's been done. Pumpkinhead II, unfortunately, gets lumped in with all the other films that milk the original's title for money. There were so many clichés in PII that I swore, looking at it, I've seen it before. Maybe I did and it didn't register back then. There must be a reason for that, huh?
