Bad script, bad acting, bad directing....
The actors deliver their lines like they're still in high school, overacting in every scene. The mother is a lying witch with her 8 yr old daughter, and has ZERO redeeming qualities. The story has so many errors, holes, giant gaping plot issues, it's almost unwatchable.
When the writer couldn't figure out how to move the story along, they wrote these genuinely boring (transition) scenes where one actor divulges a private, over-emotional moment, with all the subtlety of an explosion.
Those scenes are nothing but filler, and don't move the plot along, or reveal anything about the characters.
I love spy shows and action-driven dramas. This isn't that.
This had a promising premise, particularly regarding the actual cypher, however it was such a small part of the first 3 episodes, it just never develops.
Boring, badly acted, poorly directed, edited, and just not interesting.
I seriously hated almost every minute of it.
