One of the Best Hallmark Movies
I'm a dog owner and dog lover. So, any movie that has a dog always gets high ratings from me. But, this movie has one of the lowest levels of "suspend your sense of disbelief" of any Hallmark movie I've seen. I like that it shows a positive actual friendship between Kate and her ex-husband as they co-parent their daughter. Of course, you can see where things are going pretty much from the beginning. But, this is some of the most realistic acting from all of the actors in any Hallmark movie. Nikki Deloach is one of the actresses whose Hallmark movies I always watch. But, she seems very funny in this one. There were more laugh out loud moments in this movie for me than I typically get in a Hallmark movie. I also appreciated that the drama was more realistic. In most Hallmark movies, there is a "poor timing" problem that arises near the end. There's none of the stereotypical misunderstandings like where the girl is talking to the ex-boyfriend and saying goodbye and the new guy sees it and thinks the girl and the ex are getting back together. None of that! An actual adult decision is made for actual reasons to create the drama. I appreciated that.score 9/10
