There is ONE HUGE OVERSIGHT in the believability of the storyline.

I thought this show may be cool at first, but soon realized that there is ONE HUGE OVERSIGHT in the believability of the storyline.

If the protagonist thinks that the local cops a crooked (which may be) and this is just a game and not a recruitment of assassins for pay (though it would not make a difference)… HE COULD HAVE CONTACTED FBI, HOMELAND SECURITY AND/OR NSA… ALL OF WHICH HAVE THE RESOURCES TO PUT THIS TO AN END QUICKLY. I understand that the aforementioned action would end the show…but there are plenty of twists/devices that could have been used to prolong it.

He is an ATTORNEY yet this never occurs to him??? NO WAY WOULD THAT BE A CASE IN REAL LIFE.

However, was he to contact all of those agencies and THEY WERE ALL IN ON IT, than it would make some sense (though highly unlikely). All of those agencies could have a 'ROGUE' group in participation, BUT NOT THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE WORKING WITHIN THEM.

IF HE IS BEING WATCHED HOW WOULD HE DO IT? BURNER PHONES. CHANGE CARS AND/OR TAXIS SEVERAL TIMES ON WAY TO A MEETING…ETC… THE WRITERS…and consequently producers… of this show are a REAL DISAPPOINTMENT…and are either not too bright themselves OR are condescending to viewers as they must think that we can't (THINK) for ourselves.

I hope I'm 'jumping the gun' and that they redeem themselves soon…but even if they do… the fact remains that a semi-intelligent person (not to speak of him being a lawyer) would think with a cooler head (especially because his family is in danger) when they gave him ALMOST 3 DAYS to come up with something.

I could understand his confusion, shock, disbelief, bewilderment, et… if they took his daughter right away, and gave him ONE HOUR to do the job…but that just isn't the case.

Someone had a good idea for the show (the premise – box/picture/gun/deadline/consequences) as I can also believe that something similar has happened numerous times in REAL LIFE (though not in exact way).

However…. THE SHOW WAS NOT DEVELOPED WELL. Similar scenario was written, and relatively well executed (AND BELIEVABLE), in a Johnny Depp film involving the threat to his child (don't recall the film name).

I KNOW exactly how I would have written this series and guarantee that it would have become a MAJOR HIT (even with people possessing intellect). The writers/producers totally 'missed the mark' and I watched 6 episodes of Season 1.

Anything they do later to extricate themselves from their screw-ups (thus far) will be too late…as a reasonable person WOULD NOT HAVE DONE WHAT OUR MAIN CHARACTER DID (especially given his background in knowledge of criminal law, procedure, and ALL POSSIBLE AGENCIES THAT COULD HAVE HELPED).

A MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT… AS IT'S JUST NO LONGER BELIEVABLE.

A series/film has to be somewhat believable, especially when one is writing of 'everyday' current life. Even a FANTASY like 'Hobbit' or 'Mocking Jay', gives you a reason for believability, as otherwise it would not only insult the audience intelligence, BUT IT WOULD NOT MAKE PROFIT AT THE BOX OFFICE AS A RESULT… and THAT IS ONE of the reasons one creates TV Series and Films.

I feel like I should write a show with the aforementioned premise, but change everything else, and it would be a hit (whether a TV series or a film).

I can't believe that people with money (I presume) like Crackle, hired EXECUTIVES IN CHARGE THAT BOUGHT THIS GARBAGE.

Yes…I'm a bit angry because I was looking forward to a good show.

score 5/10
