Pleasantly surprised, in vain of Curb Your Enthusiasm
Disclaimer I watched all 8 episodes, no spoilers. generic review, hopefully encouraging people to watch at least first 3 episodesNot sure I have liked Rob Schneider in any starring role since Hot Chick which I think is an under-rated gem still.
Like many others I really liked Curb Your Enthusiasm, not all the episodes were great, but overall very good and unique. This is very similar but not nearly sharply written / improvised... but also has stand-up and it's a lot younger version of a Larry David character and a lot less whining/complaining and lunches. Also has the parenting and interracial marriage thing making it different.
10 is definitely too generous, i just think its on to something and will get even better.
