Good start, bad end
I like Jann Arden. I've never met her. I know little about her music even though she is an awarded and cherished Canadian ???????? artist, but she allows herself to be victimized by Rick Mercer's sense of humour, as a close friend, and I find that endearing. She also seems to be a pretty feet-on-the-ground, roll with the punches, everyday person, and that's relatable. So, I watched her first season. The humour was a little slapstick, but overall, I thought the show was good. Now, in the midst of a pandemic, desperate for new TV shows, I was glad when the second season was announced, until I watched it. The writers took her self-depreciating character and made her hateful, callus, self absorbed and despicable. I finally abandoned the series after the first few episodes, regretfully. (I am a big fan of Zoie Palmer). I give the first season a 7 (good) and the second season a 4 (disappointing) out of 10. {Broad Comedy}score 5/10
