Interesting crime tale with excellent performances
After just finishing the series, I must say that I really enjoyed it. I was brought to it through Suzanne Clément who I saw in Xavier Dolan's movie "Mommy". She was fantastic in that and just as good here. One review described her as OTT, but I'd have to disagree. Nobody knows how they'll react to being distraught and I thought her reactions were quite reasonable!There are some issues pointed out in other reviews such as conflicts of interest, in that an officer is allowed to work on a case involving her own daughter. But I'm watching the show for entertainment, not for the love of proper procedure!
All the leads are very capable, especially the new police chief who brings a lot of gravitas to the role.
If you're a fan of open-ended or ambiguous finales, then you may be disappointed. Things are quite nicely put to rest here, which for me is very much a plus. I've finished many a series feeling that I've wasted my time... Not so here. 4/5
