Clever, topical, well written and very, very funny
As other people have written, the better you know Shakespeare's plays the funnier you will find Upstart Crow. The writers have done an excellent job of satirising modern issues in the context of the Elizabethan times. David Mitchell looks amazing as William Shakespeare and the he and the rest of the cast capture their roles brilliantly.score 9/10
