A wonderful cartoon axed before its time

I was overjoyed by this series, not because of the homage to previous anime or influence from 1980s pop culture, but the action, adventure, and spot-on humor. When learning that Genndy Tartakovsky was the creator and producer of this show, it put a smile on my face because some of the earliest animations I watched were by him (Samurai Jack and Star Wars: The Clone Wars), which I enjoyed. The story revolves around three characters: Princess Ilana, Lance, and Octus/Newton. All three escaped their war-torn home planet and arrived on Earth, with a villain trying to wipe them out, sending monsters to Earth through a dimensional gateway. I would highly recommend this series, with strong characters, storylines, and animation style that makes you want to keep coming back for more. That's why I'm giving this its current ranking.

score 10/10
