Fistful of Curb
No idea what to expect from this, but definitely enjoyably weird.Basically it's the humour of Curb, Spinal Tap et al transplanted to the Old West. The set up has an Ichibod Crane feel to it, urban educated sheriff brings his city ideas to the backwards west, but it really works. All the cast play it nicely, lots of sharp, deadpan lines, with the undertaker (Bob Clendenin) especially good.
The whole thing has an almost homemade quality to it, which is great. It doesn't feel like anyone tried to get them to soften the edges and it's all the better for it.
Amidst all the bland stuff out there I do hope it lasts.
